COMPETITIONS
Various
clubs host Invitational Competitions throughout the year. A
list of upcoming competitions, as the Club receives the information,
will be posted on the bulletin board for all skaters. Fees for entry
are the skater's responsibility. Please check the bulletin board in the
music room for your interests and discuss entries with your
professional coach and the Competition Chairperson.
A
club competition is held
yearly. This run-off provides an opportunity for skaters to compete in
their Club and then to advance to either the Seaway Valley Recreational
Interclub or the Seaway Valley Interclub competitions held in February.
Further information will be made available regarding these events when
Winter School gets underway.

ICE SHOW
An
Ice Show is held each year to
demonstrate the skills accomplished by the skaters . All skaters are
invited to participate. This event builds Club spirit, is fun for
skaters and families and provides an opportunity for each and every
skater to display his/her skating skills. It gives the public, parents
and relatives a chance to come and watch our skaters. Many long hours
of preparation are needed by skaters, coaches, and organizers-----Many
hands are needed to produce such an event. The Ice Show Committee asks
that you provide some form of assistance toward
this event. This is due to production planning and costume needs. Not
only does the Ice Show provide entertainment but it also is a source of
revenue for the Club. It remains very costly to provide a quality
show----Please support your ice show by encouraging your friends,
neighbours and relatives to come to the Show on December 18, 2004.
