Our Coaches
The coaching staff at the Brockville Figure Skating Club is a
skilled, patient, and talented team of professionals and volunteers who
work very hard to develop the skills and attitudes of skaters in our
region. All of our coaches believe it is important for skaters to
develop both their minds and their bodies to become the best skaters
that they can be.

Coach Barb Sharpe
Amateur Coaches
Our amateur coaches program allows our older skaters to help the younger skaters in the club. Starskate skaters enjoy helping with the First Steps and CANSKATE programs. It provides them with an opportunity to practice their own skills by trying to teach younger skaters and gives them a greater sense of responsibility towards the sport and the club.
Keep up the great work girls.
Private Lessons... What Are They?
Private lessons are provided upon hiring a coach to assist your skater on their CANSKATE, or other group, lesson time.
If you are thinking about hiring a coach to provide private lessons for your skater consider the following:
- When hiring a coach, you and that coach decide the time and day you would like your child to have their private lesson.
- Most lessons are 15 minutes long. Fees for that lesson are billed to you directly from your private coach.
- The lesson involves your child, and you child's private coach.
- To the left is a list of our professional coaches. You may click on a name to find out more about that particular coach.
- Each coach can provide you with any additional information you may need to know concerning your skater and private lessons.
- All of our coaching staff are SkateCanada Certified and hold a valid First Aid card.
